Legal & Compliance

How we are regulated

Australia has the most heavily regulated financial services industry in the world. There are nationwide regulatory bodies which implement laws and operating guidelines which all banks and non-bank financial institutions must abide by to achieve the highest possible level of consumer protection. In addition to holding the standard licenses outlined below, FX Corp regularly participates in industry working groups to stay at the forefront of the regulatory and compliance environment.

Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)

FX Corp holds an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL 459050) issued by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) to deal and give advice in relation to foreign exchange contracts and derivatives. ASIC requires AFSL holders to meet stringent financial obligations relating to solvency, liquidity and minimum capital requirements. As a result, FX Corp undergoes an external audit once a year to ensure it complies with all such obligations. Please view our AFSL by following the link www.asic.gov.au and search under Professional Registers.

Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC)

FX Corp is also regulated by the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act 2006. Our AUSTRAC membership number is 100390951.

Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA)

FX Corp is a member of the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) which is the industry body that handles dispute resolution. Our membership number is 34555.
